Continuing Your Education

If you’re currently in school or thinking about working on your GED, obtaining a certification, or enrolling at a local technical school or community college, Workforce Solutions may be able to help! View the following resources:

  • GED Assistance - Workforce Solutions partners with West Central Texas Adult Education to assist you with classes and resources to obtain your Certificate of High School Equivalency (GED). The Region 14 Education Service Center is the nearest GED Testing Center. Contact our office to find out more about how we may be able to help!
  • Financial Aid Scholarships- Workforce Solutions awards financial aid packages to assist job seekers in paying for all or a portion of tuition and training related costs. These awards are available for select programs that provide job seekers with the skills necessary to gain employment in occupations that have been identified as high demand.

Job Corps

Job Corps is a free education and training program that helps young people learn a career, earn a high school diploma or GED, and keep a good job. This program is open to eligible young people, between the ages of 16 and 24, that qualify as low income. Job Corps provides the all-around skills needed to succeed in a career and in life.
