World of Work (WOW) 2021

The World of Work (WOW) Youth Expo will be back at the Abilene Convention Center on Tuesday, October 26th, along with a virtual World of Work (WOW) Webinar Series leading up to the in-person event. WOW will include the same great activities in multiple formats to fit the needs of area schools and students. All employer content will be virtual this year.

2021 WOW Webinar Series

The 2021 WOW webinar series will feature a variety of area employers and high-demand industries. The webinars will be held via Zoom on each of the following days at 9:00am, 11:00am, and 12:30pm. Webinar recordings will be posted below, so check back if you missed them live!

2021 WOW Youth Expo 

This year’s event will feature keynote speaker, David Edward Garcia on “Motivation Through Laughter” as well as mock interviews, virtual reality career simulations, interactive employability & life skills activities, and College, Career, & Military Readiness booths for 8th-12th grade students. Reminder: there will be no in-person employer booths at the WOW Youth Expo.

Three sessions to choose from: 9:00am-11:00am, 10:30am-12:30pm, and 12:00pm-2:00pm. Each session will have a capacity cutoff and registration is first come, first served. COVID safety protocols will be in place for the health and safety of all participants.
