Child Care Relief Fund

Child care businesses are critical employers throughout Texas and the services provided are crucial to supporting and growing the economy. Almost all child care businesses were hit hard during the COVID-19 pandemic, with many going out of business or operating now, on the edge of solvency. To help child care businesses recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Texas Workforce Commission is launching a Child Care Relief Fund and providing FREE business coaching starting in June 2021.

The Child Care Relief Fund is available to child care businesses that are a licensed or registered child care center or home; have been open and operating in Texas as of May 1, 2021; and that don’t have a corrective or adverse action with Texas Health and Human Services Commission Child Care Regulation. The Child Care Relief Fund will accept applications from eligible center and home-based child care businesses from June 11, 2021, to July 11, 2021. Invitations to apply will be sent via email by the Texas Workforce Commission.

If you have any questions or need help, don’t hesitate to reach out to the coaching team at [email protected] or visit childcare.texas.gov for more information.
