The purpose of this position is to provide direct care to residents, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with facility policies and procedures and report resident needs and concerns to a licensed nurse.
Qualifications Certification for C NA is required. High School Diploma or equivalency and 2 years experience in a health care setting is preferred. Must have a working knowledge of senior care. Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds and walk/stand for an 8 hour shift.
Full time is 10.15 an hour which includes benefits such as employer paid health insurance and retirement. We do offer PRN at a higher rate without benefits.
We also have CNA classes that we offer. We provide the class in our facility, we provide the clinical hours in our facility, we pay for the first test as well. During class they make $7.25, after passing their class they may remain working in our facility as a nursing assistant making $8.50 an hour up to 4 months. After 4 months they are no longer permitted to work as a nursing assistant. Usually the scheduling of the test doesn’t take long but that is at the speed of the applicant.
