General Engineering Tech I
Performs and coordinates advanced transportation engineering operations or maintenance support work such as construction and complex maintenance contract inspection; light and heavy equipment operation; roadway maintenance; traffic control; helping the public during emergency situations; and training other employees. May serve as a lead worker. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives. Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.
Education
This job requires the following:
- High School Grad or Equivalent in general high school studies
Work Experience
General Engineering Tech I
This job requires the following:
- 4 years in in transportation engineering support, roadway maintenance, construction inspection, or related work experience.
- (Experience can be satisfied by fulltime or prorated part time equivalent)
- No supervisory experience required.
- Related College education or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.
Salary: $36,976.00 - $58,399.00 yearly
