Who you will be working with:
A State of Texas government agency that serves to protect Texas history through prudent stewardship of state land, and natural resources, and places a special focus on serving the schoolchildren, veterans, and the environment of Texas.
Major Duties:
- Ability to schedule the sequence and priority of projects; to estimate and coordinate labor, materials, and equipment; to work effectively with the public; to communicate effectively, and to serve as lead worker providing direction to others.
- May approve material requests and check work progress and reports.
- Inspects and evaluates operating machinery, equipment, and systems.
- Experience in a maintenance and landscaping capacity to include mowing, weed eating, landscaping, trimming bushes and trees, digging, backfilling, general maintenance on structures and fence lines, and, on occasion, operating equipment as needed.
- Performs duties and functions in a maintenance and service capacity; completes burial processes and performs maintenance, repair, and servicing of grounds, buildings, and infrastructures.
- Assists in the repair, maintenance, and servicing of small engine and power equipment; records and submits daily/weekly/monthly records
- Maintenance and care of grave markers and headstones.
- Performs grounds maintenance activities to include grave leveling, sod establishment, turf mowing/edging, tree/shrub trimming, and care of flower beds

- Skill in the use, operation, and maintenance of equipment; troubleshooting situations; and identifying and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Proven record of reliability and punctuality.
- Reliable transportation.
- Experience in construction, maintenance, and repair work, including supervisory experience.
About this position:
- Rate: $21.00 per hour
- Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week.
