Job Description
Position Summary: The Maintenance Worker I works under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and the Director of Maintenance. The position will report direct to the Maintenance Supervisor in performing basic maintenance work of the department and upon request will assist Maintenance Worker II as needed. The person occupying this position must have basic knowledge and experience in general maintenance work.
Essential Functions:
- Inspects light fixtures; replacing ballast and light bulbs daily
- Investigates electrical service problems and reports to Maintenance Supervisor
- Identifies plumbing problems and repairs within professional competency
- Changes filters in air handlers on a monthly basis
- Performs minor mechanic work on small equipment
- Performs other daily, weekly, monthly and yearly maintenance duties according to established departmental and equipment maintenance schedules as directed
