Patrol Deputy

Nature of Work: Deputy Sheriff enforces federal, state and local law by serving legal documents, patrolling assigned areas, apprehending suspects and making arrests, responding to service calls, and making traffic stops. Performs investigations and searches, writes reports and provides court testimony. Transports inmates to and from the court system, and prison facilities. Administrates educational programs in various community-orientated programs. Coordinates emergency mental health commitments. May perform other related duties as required, and functions may vary by individual assignment. Work is performed under the direction of Patrol Sergeant and functions may vary by individual assignment.

Shift: Ability to work any shift including nights, weekends and holidays with varying days off.

Annual Certified Salary: $52,627.44
