Landscape Manager (Brownwood)
Job Description:
- Under the general direction of the assigned supervisor, with some latitude for independent judgment, position consists of supervising and teaching vocational landscaping skills to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
- Attends required meetings.
- Requires ability to work flexible hours in addition to performing a wide variety of job assignments in both an indoor and outdoor environment.
- Incumbent will be working beside consumers and must be able to lift in excess of 75 pounds.
- The work environment is such as to require sitting, walking, lifting, bending and the full range of physical and mental activities normally associated with care giving.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of accredited high school or GED required.
- At least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred.
- Knowledge of zero turn mowers, edging equipment, weed eaters and tractor shredders.
- Knowledge of maintenance and light repair of equipment a plus.
- A valid Texas Driver’s License with driving record to comply with CTMHMR policies is required. If selected for this position, employee must give the Center authority to send for copy of DPS driving record as well as all required prescreens and background checks.
Salary: $13.26-$14.93 per hour
