- The Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing direct care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a skilled nursing facility. The Nursing Assistant will help patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. They will also assist with feeding and documenting patient care and reporting any changes in patient condition to the RN or LPN. The Nursing Assistant will work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of care is delivered to all patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Help patients with mobility by turning, positioning, and transferring them as needed
- Serve meals and assist with feeding, as well as monitoring fluid intake and output
- Document patient care and report any changes in patient condition to the RN or LPN
- Assist with maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve skills and knowledge
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients and their families
Salary $14.00-$15.00 per hour
