Gain manufacturing and work readiness skills to prepare for a career in manufacturing. Learn the basics of: hand and power tools, shop math, pneumatics, electrical, hydraulics, etc. while also gaining employability skills training on resumes, interviewing, workplace ethics, and more. Scholarships covering the full cost of training are provided by the Big Country Manufacturing Alliance for up to 10 participants.

A mandatory orientation will be held on Wednesday, May 14 at 5:30 p.m. Classes will be held Monday-Thursday from 5:30-8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. beginning Monday, May 20 until Saturday, June 8 in Abilene. GUARANTEED interviews with regional manufacturers upon course completion!
Applicants must consent to a drug screen and background check prior to qualifying employment offers. This course prepares participants for career opportunities in production, machining, maintenance, assembly, fabrication, and welding.
