Street Maintenance Technician I

Job Duties:
- Operates equipment including dump trucks, rollers, distributors, tractors, mowers, front-end loader power and hand tools, such as shovels, pickax, sledgehammer and street broom
- Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or needed repairs to supervisors, cleans equipment
- Will perform street and alley maintenance, and construction projects as directed
- Responsible for clearing debris from streets, alleys and drainage ways, to also include tree trimming and tree removal when necessary
- Will be actively involved in emergency operations such as monitoring storms and high waters
