Job Description:
- Screens WIC applicants for eligibility according to categorical criteria outlined in federal, state and local policies.
- Issues food cards to eligible participants, and maintains food card inventory with reconciliations and reports done daily.
- Makes appointments for all clients who call, while determining level of priority.
- Prepares monthly schedules for anticipated caseload. Follows up with missed appointment on a daily basis.
- Maintains food logs.
- Explains use of food cards to new participants.
- Sends appointment reminders on a daily basis.
