Sanitation Operator II
General Description:
Operates roll-off truck, brush trucks and other trucks within the department requiring above-average driving skill and manipulative ability for the collection of solid waste to include industrial, construction and municipal waste. This title will also be utilized for the person that is primarily responsible for the repairs, delivery and pickup of all containers. Must be willing to adopt and exhibit the City of Brownwood “I SERVE” Core Values.
Examples of Specific Work Performed:
- Responsible for driving vehicle in a safe and skillful manner
- Perform routine maintenance on a daily basis on assigned vehicle and containers
- Prepare list of container locations and report containers requiring maintenance above that which is required by the operator
- Responsible for unloading waste from vehicle in designated area
- Keep assigned vehicle and containers clean
Pay: $3,145.00 per month
