Maintenance Operator

(Abilene)

Job Description:

• Responsible for complying with food safety, food defense, quality, safety, GMP's, HAACP, allergen, chemical control, housekeeping and sanitation as well as other regulations as required
• Monitor the production process, respond to "Floor Calls" to the production area when line problems and/or line stoppages occurs. Help to assist and educate production employees on the proper operation and care of their equipment. Inspect damaged equipment and generate repair authorizations based upon inspections
• Work with production team to make rapid, educated decisions regarding the issue at hand and trouble shoot systems, resolve issues by providing investigation, analysis, test, and follow-up where appropriate
• Participate in and direct troubleshooting activities in the event of equipment failure including participation in failure analysis, problem solving and prevention
• Ensure that all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed thoroughly, accurately and in a timely manner. Including the following: Work Orders, Parts Usage Reports, Parts Order Forms, Daily Tracking Sheets, Preventive Maintenance Procedures, LOTO, Out of Service / Defective Tags

Knowledge/Competencies:

• High School diploma; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3-5 years relevant work experience/on the job training in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in a fast-moving packaged goods environment, powdered or beverage production experience preferred
• Formal training in areas such as Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial), Food Safety, HACCP, GMP, etc. preferred
• Excel and Word experience preferred. Position has development opportunities Level 1,2,3 if applicable

Salary:

• $15 - $17/hr
