Public Comment

The public may make or submit comments on any agenda item during the Public Comment portion of the meeting, which will occur before the agenda item is discussed. Please note that the Board can receive comments and information, but may not respond directly at the meeting. Submit a comment electronically via our website using the button below or download the Public Comment Form (DOC) and submit via the instructions.

The Public Comment portion of the meeting will be opened and Speaker(s) will be called if a Public Comment Form has been submitted in advance of the meeting. The meeting Chair may limit the length of speaker comments to less than five minutes depending on the number of speakers wishing to address the Board. If a translator is required, the meeting Chair will allot the Speaker(s) twice the amount of time to present comments.  The Board will not provide additional opportunities for public comment during the meeting or open the floor for public participation during the meeting.  The Board expects all individuals to speak in a civil manner, with due respect for the decorum of the meeting, and with due respect for all persons attending. Please note:

  • If multiple individuals representing the same group request to speak, the meeting Chair may limit the number of persons allowed to speak on a topic.
  • The Board reserves the right to limit the frequency of comments by the same speaker.
  • The Board is not required to allow public comment during work sessions or workshops where they are engaged in planning or other activities where no action is considered and no voting will occur.
